Thursday 4th July 2024 – Púca Festival continues to attract major talent for the world-famous festival in Ireland’s Ancient East, as Irish Pop singer Gavin James and Kingfishr are added to the line-up. Developed by Fáilte Ireland in partnership with Meath County Council, Púca celebrates Ireland as the birthplace of Halloween with an authentic, immersive, and otherworldly festival. Vibrant, fun, and contemporary in feel but strongly rooted in tradition, Púca will take place in festival hubs Trim and Athboy in County Meath, from Thursday 31st October to Sunday 3rd November 2024.
Working in partnership with Irish and international artists, seanchaí storytellers, and the local community Púca will showcase the best in contemporary Irish music, spectacle, and performance in Ireland’s Ancient East.
Gavin James is an Irish singer-songwriter celebrated for his powerful vocals and emotive songwriting. James catapulted to stardom with his debut album, “Bitter Pill,” in 2015. His soul-stirring performances and relatable storytelling have firmly established him as a significant figure in contemporary music – making him a highly anticipated headlining act.
Púca Festival also welcomes Irish Folk band Kingfishr. Following sold-out tours and high-profile festival performances in 2023, Kingfishr is set for a stellar 2024, including two sold-out nights at Dublin’s 3Olympia Theatre, a UK tour with Tom Walker, and a support slot for Snow Patrol at Thomond Park.
Tickets to Gavin James’ and Kingfishr’s performances will go on sale on Friday, 12th July at 10am and will cost €45 in addition to booking fee. The Performance will take place at the Big Top on 31st October.
