Domino’s Rows in on Milestones with a Splash on the Liffey

Domino’s – the nation’s best-loved pizza company – is making waves along the River Liffey to celebrate two milestones that lie close by its banks. The 20th anniversary of its Lucan store and the 1-year anniversary of its Maynooth store coincide, and Domino’s is showcasing its commitment to both communities with an exciting collaboration with Irish World Champion Canoeist, Jenny Egan-Simmons.

In a display of innovation and commitment to its customers, Domino’s captured the attention of Lucan locals with a special delivery to the hungry canoeist navigating the Liffey waters. The delivery was made possible through a specially designed waterproof and floatable Domino’s delivery bag, ensuring that the fresh pizza arrived piping hot.

Domino’s Lucan opened its doors in 2004 and has gone above and beyond for its customers ever since. Additionally, Domino’s is proud to celebrate the first anniversary of its Maynooth store, which introduced a stylish new look featuring fashionable ‘Short Shorts’ inspired by a prominent Maynooth fashion icon.

Chief Executive of Ireland’s largest Domino’s franchise, Shorecal, George Bertram, says, “We love an extraordinary delivery at Domino’s, so we’re making an innovative splash to celebrate the strong bond we share with the communities of Lucan and Maynooth. By delivering directly along the River Liffey, we’re not only commemorating our anniversary milestones but also highlighting the close-knit relationship between these neighbouring stores.”

Speaking about the special water delivery, multiple world championship medallist and European Championship medallist, canoeist Jenny Egan-Simmons, who also hails from Lucan, says:

“Teaming up with Domino’s to carry out a canoe delivery for the very first time in Ireland was fun and exciting and I was so delighted to be involved. As a Lucan native, it was great to partner with a local business that has been immersed in the community for such a long time. Domino’s has always been my go to for pizza in Lucan and it tasted even better on the water!”

Domino’s is spreading the birthday cheer with the “It’s My Birthday Bundle Deal” available at both the Lucan and Maynooth stores. For just €19.99, customers can enjoy a Large Pizza, Classic Side, and Dessert as part of this limited-time offer, running from now until 31st August.

Pizza fans can get their hands on firm favourites, including the Pepperoni Passion and Texas BBQ, as well as recent innovations like the Ultimate Spicy Sausage pizza and the Double Choc Caramel Cookie. The store also serves up a gluten free range as well as a wide selection of vegan and original pizzas, sides and desserts.
