Harris Helps: Supporting Oscar’s Kids in Memory of Oisín Hoy
This month, our Harris Helps initiative takes on a deeply personal meaning.
A word from our Founder & MD, Sonia Harris Pope: “The world feels particularly heavy right now, and it’s with a very heavy heart that I write these words. Today we remember Oisín Hoy, brother of our beloved colleague and friend Niamh Hoy, who sadly passed away a week ago in a car accident in Bolivia. We’re sending all our thoughts and love to Niamh and her family and friends as they try to process this unimaginable grief.
In memory of Oisín Hoy, our Harris Helps charity for July is Oscar’s Kids, a charity that was important to Oisín, and that is dedicated to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer, bringing moments of joy, comfort, and magical experiences to young people facing unimaginable challenges. Oisín, Niamh, and their family have been inspired by the incredible work of Oscar’s Kids, and we are honoured to contribute in his memory.
Through this month’s donation, we hope to help Oscar’s Kids continue their mission to bring light and laughter to children who need it most.”
About Oscar’s Kids
Founded in honour of Oscar Keogh, who bravely faced a paediatric cancer diagnosis, Oscar’s Kids is dedicated to supporting children and families affected by childhood cancer across Ireland and beyond. Their work brings moments of joy and magic to young people through unique experiences, special deliveries, and heartfelt support, helping families create lasting memories even during the most difficult times.
Oscar’s Kids’ mission is to ensure that children with cancer don’t just receive medical care but also experience happiness, wonder, and hope — the kind of magic every child deserves.
