Celebrating Creativity and Ageing: Bealtaine Festival 2026 Launches Nationwide Programme

Ireland’s national celebration of the arts and ageing is back, and 2026 promises to be one of the most ambitious Bealtaine Festivals yet. Running throughout May, the festival brings together artists, communities and audiences across the country with a month-long programme of inclusive performances, exhibitions, workshops, pop-ups and tours.

This year’s festival embraces the Lust for Life theme, inspired by Iggy Pop, celebrating ageing as a time of energy, creativity and reinvention. Highlights include The Big Bealtaine Tea Party at IMMA, Miriam O’Callaghan in Conversation, Sex (No) Drugs & Rock N Roll with Cáit O’Riordáin and Barry Devlin, and the high-energy 6 O’Clock Rock finale weekend at Project Arts Centre from 28th–30th May.

Nationwide, audiences can also enjoy favourites such as the Dawn & Dusk Chorus in partnership with Sing Ireland, immersive performances like We Are An Archipelago, circus adventures with Won’t Be Told by Tumble Circus, and interactive events exploring love, intimacy, creativity, and identity in later life. With exhibitions, workshops and performances across venues including Temple Bar Gallery + Studios, the Irish Film Institute, the National Photographic Archive, and Photo Museum Ireland, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

We are proud to support Bealtaine Festival 2026 by managing their PR and social media presence, helping to amplify the programme and connect audiences nationwide with this extraordinary celebration of arts, creativity and ageing.
