Visit Roscommon has today launched its new Walks & Cycleways Booklet for Autumn 2023 packed with information and maps for 25 trails across the county. The launch of their Autumn booklet follows a call to action last month which encouraged people to discover Roscommon. Nestled in the heart of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands, County Roscommon is rapidly emerging as a premier getaway spot full of scenic trails, inviting cycleways, and a wealth of rich history and culture.
Joining us at the launch of today’s Autumn 2023 booklet were Aoife and Lisa O’Rourke, champion boxers who have previously been awarded the ‘Freedom of Roscommon’ in recognition of their outstanding achievements in their sporting field. Keeping up with their love for athletics and sport, the sisters peddled into the launch of the booklet today at the Demesne, Castlerea, County Roscommon. The updated Roscommon Walks & Cycleways Booklet is funded by the Department of Rural and Community Development and Roscommon County Council under the Outdoor Recreation Infrastructure Scheme.
The Roscommon Walks & Cycleways Booklet can be downloaded from the Visit Roscommon website, and hard copies are available at the Roscommon Tourism Office and tourism information points across the county.
