Dingle Distillery has recently announce its highly anticipated Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt Whiskey, the fifth release in a series of nine limited-edition whiskeys in its Wheel of the Year series. This new release is now available at DingleDistillery.ie and across off-licenses and stores nationwide, available just in time for the festive period.
The Wheel of the Year series is a truly unique approach to driving the marketing and sales of new products from the distillery. With each limited-edition release within the Wheel of the Year series, Dingle Distillery and Harris PR work in unison to honour the ancient Celtic celebration.
In promoting the limited-edition whiskeys, it is important that traditional and experiential PR be considered for approaching how best to push the product to the public as well as whiskey sommeliers. In previous PR campaigns, Harris PR have created dedicated whiskey tasting events to showcase new products, inviting experts in Celtic folklore along to offer insight and context to the celtic wheel traditions.

This limited release whiskey honours the ancient Celtic celebration of Grianstad an Gheimhridh, the winter solstice. Grianstad translates to ‘the stopping of the sun’, and Dingle Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt is a celebration of a time of year that is all about the dark of night drawing in. The Winter solstice is known as the shortest day of the year.
Matured in former Bourbon casks with a Tawny Port cask finish and bottled at 50.5% ABV, there are just 7,800 bottles set to be released for this limited-edition Irish whiskey.
Priced at €85 per 70cl bottle, Grianstad an Gheimhridh Single Malt Whiskey (50.5% ABV) is now available to buy.
