Harris PR Eyes Growth with Strengthened Senior Leadership Team

Harris PR, the Irish-based PR agency established by Sonia Harris Pope almost 15 years ago, has expanded its Senior Leadership Team with two key promotions, and grown its service offering with a strategic new hire. The developments are in response to a buoyant market and growing demand, which sees Harris PR poised to grow its client roster in 2024 and beyond.

The Senior Leadership Team comprising Sonia Harris Pope, Founder & Managing Director, supported by Niamh McCarrick, promoted to Senior Strategy Director, and Natalie Burke Donohue, promoted to Client Director, will be responsible for running the business, managing client relationships, new business development, team development and training, and ensuring adherence to the highest agency standards and industry best practice.

Also joining the team in the newly created role of Senior Digital & PR Executive is Niamh Shields who brings a wealth of Digital Marketing experience to the team as well as a varied background in journalism and media having worked with Harmonia Publishing in Dublin and Highland Radio in Donegal.

As one of Ireland’s leading consumer and lifestyle PR agencies, Harris PR offers media relations, event management, corporate and reputational management, and brand development expertise to many domestic and international brands, large and small. Recent years have seen its services significantly expand to include social media management, content creation, graphic design, production, influencer marketing, and digital and paid media, all delivered through a strategic and creative lens. The agency boasts a client list largely comprising brands across the food & beverage, health & wellness, tourism & hospitality, parenting & baby, home & interiors, retail, and charity sectors.

Since then, she has seen the business develop and grow from a small PR agency offering traditional services, to a team of nine today, offering full communications services. Sonia remains hands on with clients, maintaining a continuous presence at a strategic level across most of the agency’s brands which include Domino’s Pizza, Dingle Distillery, Púca Festival for Fáilte Ireland, Visit Roscommon, Capitalflow, bunq, Holland & Barrett and many more, in addition to running the business and focusing on expansion.

Niamh McCarrick, Senior Strategy Director

With a multitude of experience in both corporate and consumer PR, Niamh’s particular strengths lie in strategic and creative communications planning, project management, and client relations. She is a client lead on brands including Dingle Distillery, Visit Roscommon, Kärcher, Sofft Productions and Meubles, and takes an active role in new business development.

Natalie Burke Donohue, Client Director

A former journalist of almost 10 years, Natalie joined Harris PR in 2020 from Arnotts where she was part of the retailer’s PR team for four years overseeing major launches, events and activations across all departments. A creative communicator with a passion for storytelling and media relations, Natalie has excelled in delivering tangible results for her clients which have included Petmania, iDonate, the Irish Heart Foundation, the Irish Haemochromatosis Association, St Patricks Mental Health Services, Fresh Cuts Clothing, Kaliedy, Mind Mommy Coaching, Adam’s Cloud and many more.

Commenting on the announcement, Sonia Harris Pope, Managing Director, Harris PR, says: “2023 was a phenomenal year in Harris PR’s history, from our PRCA membership to our awards success, and from key new business wins to growing and developing our team of stellar professionals, all of whom work so hard and demonstrate so much passion and enthusiasm for our clients every single day. Our success to date can be attributed to many factors, but I believe that our agility and flexibility with clients and our client service is what truly sets us apart.

I’m thrilled to expand our team and our services in readiness for 2024 and beyond, and believe we have all the right ingredients in place to capitalise on new business opportunities and grow our client roster even further. We see ourselves as a one stop shop for brands seeking creative, integrated PR and Marketing Communications expertise, both online and offline.”

As part of Harris PR’s 15th year celebrations, the team is set to launch the ‘Harris Helps’ initiative later this month, offering support to multiple charitable organisations and campaigns throughout 2024.  Via harrispr.ie, people can nominate charities for a donation, as well as a spotlight across social channels.
